Sara Constantino is a Scientist and Researcher at Princeton University and works at several Princeton centers, schools, and institutes, including the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, the School of Public and International Affairs, and the High Meadows Environmental Institute. Her active participation in pilot projects in the context of Unconditional Basic Income, such as the Maricá project, should be highlighted.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Economics and Literature from McGill University, a Master's degree in Economics from University College London and a PhD in Cognitive Sciences from New York University.

Parallel to academic work, she worked as an editor at Nature Human Behavior, and as a consultant, research fellow, and data analyst on projects with various institutions, including the Economist, the Economist Intelligence Unit, the World Bank, the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Jain Family Institute.

She attended courses on Social Sciences and Environment, Behavioral Economics, Risk Management, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Psychology and Computational and Mathematical Methods at New York University, Columbia University and Princeton University.

Philippe Van Parijs is a Belgian philosopher and political economist, known as a modern forerunner and leading advocate of Unconditional Basic Income.

He is one of the founders of BIEN (Basic Income European Network) which in 2004 became the "Basic Income Earth Network," of which he is President.

Author of several literary works, he studied Philosophy, Law, Political Economics, Sociology and Linguistics at the University of Saint Louis (in Brussels), and at the universities of Louvain, Oxford, Bielefeld and California (Berkeley). He holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Louvain) and Philosophy (Oxford).

He is a professor at the Faculty of Economic, Social and Political Sciences at the Catholic University of Louvain, as well as visiting professor at Harvard University and the KU Leuven Institute of Philosophy.

He has also worked as a visiting professor at several universities around the world, such as Amsterdam, Manchester, Siena and Quebec (Montreal), the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the École Normale Supérieure in Paris and the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

He is a member of Belgium’s Royal Academy of Sciences, Letters and Fine Arts, the International Institute of Philosophy, the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, and fellow of the British Academy.

In 2001, he received the Francqui, the most prestigious Belgian scientific prize, awarded annually since 1933 by the Francqui Foundation, in recognition of the achievements of Belgian researchers under the age of 50.

Cristina Rodrigues, Legal expert and member of the Portuguese Parliament (2019-2022).

She holds a Master's degree in Legal and Business Sciences and is currently a PhD student in Legal-Criminal Sciences at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon.

During the previous parliamentary term, she developed several legislative initiatives in the Portuguese Parliament, including a legislative initiative that proposed the study about the implementation of a pilot project on unconditional basic income in Portugal, which was, so far, the only initiative in this field.

Rui Pereira is the Coordinator of the pioneering UBI pilot project in Alcácer do Sal (his homeland). He holds a degree in multimedia design from the University of Beira Interior and a degree in Executive Education and Leadership from the MIT- Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in the United States of America.

Saskia Bricmont is a Belgian politician, MEP for the Greens/European Free Alliance, elected in 2019.

In the European Parliament, her work is mainly in the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (since 2019) and in the Committee on International Trade (since 2020).

In addition to the Committees, she’s part of the European Parliament delegation for relations with the Maghreb countries and the Arab Maghreb Union.

She is also a member of the European Parliament's Intergroup on LGBTI Rights and the European Parliament's Intergroup on the Welfare and Conservation of Animals.
